Past & Present

I am concept-driven. I love ideas and sometimes, the nuttier, the better. Jerry Della Femina, a New York advertising agency icon, wrote, “Advertising is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.” I would counter, “Bringing ideas to life is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.”

And that’s was advertising did. I was lucky to be part of it.

I like going to places I know little or nothing about. It helps me remain optimistic.

Trying to remain optimistic in Hungary was not the most astute move. The Hungarian definition of an optimist? A person who is ill-informed.

However, I was not ill-informed. I was not informed at all.

Budapest is a beautiful city, once called ‘the Paris of the East’ and I am a sucker for beauty.

Three Years on Mars is a chronicle of my journey to the Epicentre of Darkness.

I loved the place.

Writers write. We will take whatever is running through our heads and commit it to paper or pixels for prosperity or purpose. Or something; simply by taking words anyone could find in a dictionary and stinging them together into a story, a script, a song, a manifesto, a stream of consciousness or an insight du jour.

These are a few of mine, some noteworthy given when they were written. Frankly, some a surprise to me, too.

Every day, each and every one of us has signs from the heavens about what may or may not be in store for us. The trick is to read those signs and read between the lines. After all, any day could be our last.

Dead Day Horoscopes takes a lighter look at the horoscopes for many people, alas, no longer with us, for the day they departed from this sphere. Were the stars trying to send a warning to heed? Or were they simply sending a farewell message for a farewell that could not be avoided?

Any attempt I have made to converse with any sort of diety has always felt conspicuously one-sided.

Which brings us to this book. Asking questions of an unproven deity in seeking truth is a fool’s errand. As you will learn in this book, AI does not have the capacity to lie. That is solely a human talent. And since so many of us are intrigued, excited, frightened, terrified or simply recognizing a new and potentially highly lucrative opportunity, many of us want to know more. Asking other humans is no guarantee of getting what you’re seeking which is the truth. (See comment above about lying.)

Do you want to know more about AI?

Why not get it straight from the horse’s mouth?
